Integrated Process
Action Queue entries track processes and inform users as to what transactions are to be performed. There are three Action Queues that manage Warehousing, Shipping and Inspection tasks. Entries appear in the Action Queues for all dock-to-stock and stock-to-dock transactions. For example as Items are sold Shipping instantly sees the requirement (what, when, where) to ship even before the warehouse has pulled the item(s). This creates a pull-effect in the organization and supports fulfillment policies such as… “orders received by 2:00 get shipped the same day”.
